I think Trump is just an exceptionally bad politician, not that politicians are exceptionally good. Trump has no empathy and no self control. That’s what makes him bad. Biden is boring, but when next to that looks skilled. Somehow some people like Trump though and I really don’t get it.

I think you’ve got to just give up arguing this. You made a mistake, which is fine if we own up to it and don’t repeat it. In the future, don’t dismiss protests because of perceived damage that you don’t actually have any knowledge of. You aren’t going to win the argument here, which shouldn’t be your goal, but you can prevent yourself from making the same mistake in the future.

It’d also likely not be seen as derogatory if it weren’t being served to them by their white corporate masters. I’m certain many black families enjoy these dishes to this day for juneteenth. I agree with both of you. They were terrorists by the definition we typically use. However, that word was created by the ruling class to easily turn people against a perceived threat. They usually use the same tools as the state. Why don’t states get called terrorists when using fear and force for political gain? The word terrorism is not useful. It is another tool of the ruling class to control things.

I can see the argument of using the word and saying that it can be good. That what DS9 did. I would prefer the word to stop being used. I think it’s best at the moment to use the word, say it can be good, and then also say why the word is a tool of control and should be abandoned.

I don’t read it as saying they’re wrong. I read it as saying it’s unreliable. If someone has a cacaine addiction, I’m not going to trust them to hold on to some crack and not use it. If they can prove themselves reliable then they may be trusted.

I totally agree with everything you said. This case was handled poorly. I was arguing it can be useful, but should be handled as if it’s a firearm, not a toy, because it is. There should have been no chance (or as close to that as possible) of this happening, but it doesn’t mean there is zero use cases.
