I really liked the comment about smells, so some of my favorite are: Freshly cut grass, my child’s hair, fresh bergamot peel (cirtrusy in general), baked bread.
For eau de cologne or perfume, I like Aventus by Creed, Egoïste by Chanel, Paris by YSL, Aqua de Loewe by Loewe are some of what I wear from time to time.
In my daily life I do not wear perfume, just like taking showers with nice smelling soap/shower gel. My favorite is Mangue and Coriandre by Yves Rocher.
Thank you for the very detailed answer. I can tell you have being taking good care of your birds as you speak so fondly of them.
I will show my child your answer so they can read all the implications that you so kindly shared and maybe have a talk about what having a pet chicken entails.
That is so kind that you are intrigued by it. I will try and find out how to it here on lemmy since I have not being able to do it before.
I knew about the cat distribution system, but chicken distribution system? That sounds so random lol. My kid has wanted a hen for years but we are suburb dwellers and I am afraid of having a chicken indoors. Do you have any tips on how to deal with a hen indoors? I really liked your story, especially the bit about the beard nesting.
Awww senior pets warm my heart so much. I have an eighteen year old that is mostly blind and half deaf but has so much energy and today she pranced on the grass for a bit just like when she was a young fluffy pup. I love my girl to bits.
A little of this, a little of that.
Positive: Someone reached out to me to tell me that one of my pieces (I am an artist) made them emotional and that it was beautiful. It made my day and I was (am) absolutely beaming.
Negative: Hard earned money that had to go pay some stupid bills. I try not to dwell much on it, but it makes me feel rage at times.
Wall pushups helped me a ton at the beginning so I could learn proper hand/arm placement, then that evolved to knee pushups like the ones you describe, then full pushups and now yoga ball pushups so my body and my mind keep getting challenges because I get bored very easy and lose interest at an alarmig rate. Slow is your friend! At least it is for me. Rushing a workout or setting unrealistic goals are killjoys that I don’t need at this point.
Me! I did it for years while in my twenties, then stopped because of injury, bad form and other circumnstances. Now I’ve picked it up again but through a personal trainer. My goal is long term mobility and independence, not so much muscle growing so I strength train 3 times a week, pilates or barré 2 times a week and yoga daily to stretch and help my mental health. I love being able to do pushups and other exercises that challenge me and feeling stronger and stronger everyday. Good for you for listening to your body and what it needs, no need to risk injury to kick ass IMO.
Will check it out for sure. Thanks for the suggestion
Relatos de la noche.
I didn’t mention it because it’s only in spanish there’s no english version. But I think it can also be enjoyed as asmr because the guy has a fantastic voice.
Fleetwood Mac, Kina, Nicotine dolls, Teddy Swims for running errands.
Walker & Royce for workouts.
My spooky podcast for everything in between.
Spot on! The CICO model should be outdated. Weight management should be a multi factorial issue taking into account more than just food intake.
Was feeling super anxious today about an upcoming medical appointment so I decided that painting for a bit might calm me down. It kinda helped lol but the lopsided pepper I painted is not my favorite.
Working on accepting things for what they are and not for what I wish them to be, including my art. Tomorrow I can try again abd paint something else.
PS. Appointment went well but I hate doctors and hospitals.
