i’d differentiate it by the kind of it’s ui. linux will still feel like a desktop operating system, made for mouse and keyboard, whereas the console has a controller friendly interface. probably not much of an issue if you boot into steam directly through.
genuinely curious, is there any linux DE that is optimised for being connected to a tv and controlled by remote/gamepad from the couch?
i’d argue that a console running linux would be a PC, even if it’s plugged into your living room tv
i love the idea, but p2p filesharing laws are quite strict where i live. i wouldn’t feel 100% safe even using a private tracker, i’ll have to stick to debrid services to cover my ass
If this became a copyright case in Japan and palworld won it could change the law on copyright fair use
not every country has case law. most of Europe is eg using “code law”, which means a precedent doesn’t change the law, but only applies to the one specific case with all its specific context and circumstances taken into account. under slightly different circumstances, a judge may rule differently
the google tv with chromecast dongle is quite decent, good price/performance ratio
i have a bmw that came without any, it’s an “extra” you can order for most cars
portal 2
it’s the only one i knew about before the other comment. with more browsers using it, we may not need to build another engine from scratch to broaden competition
i’d like to see a revival of webkit and an open source browser that uses it
i thought becoming 30 fucked me up enough already… so i have to go through this two more times, only it will be worse? ugh…
i’ve had the same thought lately. the common arm design approach around the bootloader seems to turn old Android phones and tablets into e-waste sooner than necessary, in theory they could all run Linux and be useful for another ten years. but it’s hard enough to port mainline Linux to Android devices, and almost impossible to get all the included hardware working properly

i see your point, didn’t think about the accessibility aspect
i’m more worried about people dumbing down non-dated, modern language, out of pure laziness
reading dumbed down versions of books that would actually expand your linguistic horizon otherwise will
people will get even dumber
ah, the American solution
