What controller costs >$400?
What controller costs >$400?
That’s easy to explain. EGS managed to make everyone hate them just as it started. How do they expect to be profitable if they piss off the entire market?
There are other stores such as GoG that have actual users.
GW2 is the only MMO I know that doesn’t have other people stealing your loot. All loot is independent for everyone (no loot sharing, bids, etc.) and you get loot from the mob just by hitting it once, doesn’t matter if you last hit it or not.
You don’t need to have wired across the room. You can put them through the wall like every other cable. If the wire tubes are not full, it isn’t very complicated. I put my Ethernet wires in the wall.
Yeah that’s not accurate. They have plenty of oligarchs. Only most of their population is enslaved.
Context: rule 1 is about xenophobia/racism.
Yep. Plenty of china criticism allowed in .ml
PowerShell, because of autocomplete and shift+arrows select.
Once you’ve played enough, the fact that it’s hard makes it better. I remember the first time I played dark souls, (dark souls III) I beat the 2nd boss months after the first try (i didn’t play continuously for those months obviously). I was just unable to beat it. I looked at the wiki for builds, for that specific boss starts and so on.
Once I beat it, though, I kinda knew how to play, and the fact that the bosses were hard made it better, since now I got a big dopamine hit after I finally killed them after tens of tries.
Now, most games I play I beat them on the first try. Not because I’m good, but because the games are easy. I watch other people play and they kill them first try too. I don’t get that same sense of “oh this is a boss, it’s gonna be hard but fun.” Instead I think “oh no, I was having fun oneshotting everyone and now here comes the bullet sponge”.
I doubt Wikimedia streams even 0.1% of what netflix does.
The entire content of the wikipedia fits in a pen drive.
Streaming video is a lot more expensive than text and images.
Prices should go down with scale not up though.
There’s initial investment on the initial servers (and the software), and afterwards it should be a linear increase of server costs per user, with some bumps along the way to interconnect those servers.
The cost also scales per content. Because that means more caching servers per user and bigger databases, and licenses.
So this service has less users and more content, it should be way more expensive. The only reason they are cheaper is because they don’t pay those licenses.
Fellow pythonistas, how can I make this code more pythonic?
Criminal would just use the communication method that is encrypted, because it will be known as such. Just like nowadays everyone knows that if you want to pirate you use torrent. And if you don’t wanna be tracked you use VPNs and tor.
This will hurt the dumbest of criminals and all the non-criminals.
Telnet? Banned. You now need the EUs approval to use networking software. The only apps that any EU users can use that uses the network interface are those whitelisted by the EU.
That’s the only way that this is enforceable. And still pretty easy to defeat, or are they gonna Linux too? Since Linux comes with the source code, anyone could recompile it removing the restriction.
It’s just absurd.
Were you using a weird email provider? Maybe the emails were sent to spam. Or you were looking in the wrong email.
I’m just pointing out misinformation. Me (and many others) received plenty emails from Microsoft. I doubt that they only sent them to some people and not others.
I thought you meant they send a code that never expires so you can recover your old account. What you are proposing is give everyone who didn’t migrate a code to redeem Minecraft?
That is even less viable. That’s basically giving everyone that didn’t migrate a full refund (+ extra because now Minecraft is cheaper so you can sell it for more). Which would also lead to a potential customer lost because they bought the “second hand” key.
Why would Microsoft do that. They’d be better off just paypaling every non-migrated account 20€.
They got sent a link before closing for good. That was their option to redeem. If they didn’t in all that time, it’s probably because they don’t want to keep their account.
Keeping legacy systems costs money, they have no reason to keep those codes valid for 30 years just in case someone decided they wanted to keep their account after 30 years.
They gave users more than enough time to migrate. 3 years is a lot of time. In most Democratic countries elections come up every 4 years, it’s almost a full election cycle.
The migration has been going on for multiple years (I believe more than 5). Anyone who wanted to keep their account would’ve done so.
There are also a thousand video game genres that don’t require shooting.
