Ich verstehe das du deine Geschichte teilen möchtest, aber eine Gruppe für Technologie ist nicht ganz der richtige Platz.
5·9 days agoYeah, I can’t see it either. I don’t think the target audience is those people who love the Brontë books. And then I have to wonder, if they will be true to the atmosphere of the book, the essence.
And then I can just watch any random romantic drama. You don’t have to butcher a classic for that.

This is so sick. Instead of doing something about the rising homelessness problem, they just shoo them away so rich people don’t have to see them anymore. Making life even harder for those who already have it rough.

He had a near-death scare and changed from “for the good of the people” to “everyone for themselves” and sold out to make as much money for himself and his family as he can.
Just my theory, but shit like this can change people when it shows them their own mortality.

That’s so funny. I just though Läderlappen just sounds like german for “leather rag” and google does in fact translates it to “The Leather patch”.
I wonder what their thought process was in coming up with leather patch for batman.
Book and Movie “To Kill a Mockingbird” is translated in German to “Wer die Nachtigall Stört” - “To disturb a Nightingale”.
They were like “something, something with a bird- close enough.”
This bothered me even before reading the book, but after reading the scene in the backyard where Miss Maudie explains to the kids that you never shoot at a mockingbird because they do no harm to anyone or anything ever, a metaphor the whole book is build on, this translation drives me crazy.
I wish someone would re-publish it with a more fitting german title.
To add the point I wanted to make was, this was not an oversight because there were so many inconsequential complains, they didn’t bother to look for valid ones.
This was with Intent. A “Fuck you with your misconduct complains, I won’t even look at them, I’m not gonna discipline my people”

The cases were looked at and found valid and substaniated.
In every public facing job you always have nonsense complains from main-character-people that you can just dismiss. But these were not that. Not even partly. They were all rightful complains.
Now the MAGA people are mad that they can’t use their AI pictures anymore and pretend they are real.

I watched a documentary about swapped twins in Colombia The Accidental Twins.
2 sets of identical twins born in 1988, one pair in rural La Paz and one pair in Bogota. One of the La Paz babies wasn’t well and was sent to a hospital in the capital, where the mistake happened.
They grow up as fraternal twins, because they are not very much alike. 20+ years later they somehow run into each other through friends.
Imagine someone tells you “Hey, I met this guy who looks exactly like you” and you check out this guys social media and there are pictures of the guy, looking like you with another guy that looks exactly like your twin brother.
Seriously, such a wild story. Super interesting and heartbreaking at times.
