Well, I would opt for a search through Kagi using the fediverse lense. But you basically edited your post on how it would need to be done otherwise And answered your own question. There’s also https://fedi-search.com/
The post ID isn’t universal when you’re putting it in another instance search bar. You have to use the entire URL of the originating instance.
Are you asking on how to search through your own local data from a instance you took offline?

Not really, people treat their distros like rednecks with a confederate flag. I’ve always found it worrisome.
It is, but the only fully federated things are instance oriented moderations. No one can federate out changes on to communities on other instances. Those actions would only show for their local users.
I don’t like to blindly imagine things like most of the Lemmy user base.
