Anime cliches is exactly what I meant. And you’re correct that it’s been that way from the beginning with Estelle and Joshua doing the whole not-legally-incest thing. Daybreak just piled them all together and you could group them like these are all the tiny women that are computer and technology experts, there are all the tiny women that are deadly murder machines, there are all the rebellious ones with hearts of gold, there are all the sex pests, etc., and it really made things feel flat.
This is why I prefer no swap on servers. I want oom to kill things quickly, otherwise everything slows to a crawl including ssh and terminal sessions that I’d use to troubleshoot and kill things myself anyway. I have redundant servers so a down system is much less disruptive than a terminally slow system.
